Job Summary

The CDP – Pastry & Bakery is responsible for preparing and producing a wide range of pastries, cakes, breads, desserts, and baked goods. Ensures high quality, consistency, creative presentation, and strict hygiene within the pastry and bakery section.

Job Description

  • Produce high-quality pastries, breads, desserts, and baked items as per recipes.
  • Create decorative elements for cakes, plated desserts, and buffets.
  • Ensure mise-en-place is ready for service and production.
  • Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
  • Assist in menu planning and development of new pastry and bakery items.
  • Follow hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines.
  • Train and supervise Commis and assistants in the section.
  • Manage stock levels, monitor freshness, and minimize waste.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of bakery equipment.

Qualification and Requirements

  • Diploma/Certificate in Pastry & Bakery.
  • 5 years of pastry/bakery experience.
  • Strong skills in baking, cake decoration, chocolate work, and dessert production.
