Facility Technician – Plumbing & General Repairs

• To perform skilled plumbing work and general building maintenance to ensure proper functioning, safety, and reliability of facility systems. The role supports day-to-day operations, preventive maintenance, and timely resolution of general repair issues across the property.

Plumbing Maintenance

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, valves, fittings, water heaters, pumps, and drainage systems.
• Inspect plumbing systems regularly to identify leaks, blockages, or wear.
• Repair toilets, sinks, showers, taps, and other fixtures.
• Ensure proper water flow, pressure, and supply throughout the facility.
• Respond to plumbing emergencies and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain compliance with safety and plumbing standards.

General Repairs & Building Maintenance

• Perform minor carpentry work such as repairing doors, locks, hinges, and wooden structures.
• Assist with masonry tasks including patching walls, tiling, and concrete repairs.
• Support welding and fabrication tasks when required.
• Repair and maintain facility equipment, furniture, and fixtures.
• Conduct inspections of maintenance areas and report damages or abnormalities.
• Support overall property upkeep, especially in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house.

Preventive Maintenance

• Carry out routine preventive maintenance to extend equipment life.
• Document all tasks in the maintenance system (CMMS or manual log).
• Identify areas requiring improvement or replacement and report to the supervisor.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow safety procedures while handling tools, equipment, and chemicals.
• Ensure all work areas are clean, safe, and hazard-free.
• Support compliance with building codes and company maintenance standards.
• Report any safety incidents or risks immediately.

• Certificate or Diploma in Plumbing or related technical field.
• 2–4 years of plumbing or general maintenance experience in hotels, commercial buildings, or industrial facilities.
• Basic knowledge of masonry, carpentry, and general repair work.
• Ability to use plumbing and general maintenance tools safely.
• Strong plumbing knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to perform basic carpentry, masonry, and general repairs.
• Good understanding of building maintenance procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
