Job Description
- Greeting guests warmly upon arrival.
- Managing reservations through phone calls and booking systems.
- Seat management, ensuring the restaurant runs smoothly by coordinating seating arrangements.
- Customer inquiry handling with accurate and helpful information.
- Creating a reservation for them with their dining preferences if they do not and noting it in the reservation book
- Being attentive to guest requests
- Escort members to their preferred table or reserved table and seat members according to restaurant standards
- Take telephone bookings and document in the Reservation book according to restaurant standards
- Be attentive to members and resolve their complaints where possible, reporting all incidents to your supervisor
- Maintain responsibility of cleanliness of hostess stations
- Maintain responsibility of cleanliness of all menus and drink menus
- Maintain detailed knowledge of menu and Hotel Information including daily specials
- Ensure tables are cleared quietly and efficiently
- Complete dockets accurately and clearly
- Maintain current information on all general activities of the Hotel
Qualification and Requirements
- Diploma in Hospitality Management or any related field
- 4+ years' experience in Food and Beverage operation especially in Hostess or Waitress
- Communication Skills: Clear and polite communication is crucial, given the nature of the role that involves extensive guest interaction.
- Multilanguage skills are added advantage
- Organizational Ability: Effectively managing bookings and seating arrangements without causing delays or confusion.
- Multitasking Ability: Balancing various tasks simultaneously, such as answering calls and attending to incoming guests.
- Customer Service Skills: Creating a welcoming and accommodating environment.
