Job Description
Kitchen Equipment Maintenance
- Inspect, clean, and maintain kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, fryers, grills, dishwashers, refrigerators, and freezers.
- Troubleshoot and repair minor faults in kitchen machinery.
- Perform preventive maintenance to extend equipment lifespan and ensure operational efficiency.
- Support installation of new kitchen equipment under supervision.
- Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and operational standards.
Laundry Equipment Maintenance
- Maintain and repair laundry machines, dryers, irons, pressing machines, and related equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance to avoid breakdowns and ensure smooth laundry operations.
- Assist in installation, adjustment, and testing of new laundry machinery.
- Ensure all laundry operations meet hygiene and safety standards.
General Maintenance Assistance
- Support engineering team in minor plumbing, electrical, or mechanical repairs related to kitchen and laundry areas.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from kitchen and laundry staff.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in kitchen and laundry areas.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment faults, and repair schedules.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow safety procedures when handling kitchen and laundry equipment.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Report safety hazards, incidents, or equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety regulations, and health standards.
Documentation & Reporting
- Record daily maintenance activities and equipment status.
- Report recurring equipment issues and recommend solutions to supervisors.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables for kitchen and laundry equipment.
Qualification and Requirements
- Certificate or diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Hospitality Equipment Maintenance.
- 1–3 years of experience maintaining kitchen and laundry equipment in hotels, resorts, or commercial facilities.
- Ability to handle tools and equipment safely.
- Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems is an advantage.
- Knowledge of kitchen and laundry equipment operations and maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or plumbing issues in equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced operational areas.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
