Job Summary

To oversee all engineering and maintenance operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant functioning of the resort’s physical assets in line with Catalonia’s international standards.

Job Description

• Oversee all maintenance, repair, and engineering operations across the resort to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency.

• Develop and implement the preventive maintenance program with a monthly completion rate target of at least 90%.

• Prepare and manage the engineering department’s annual budget with variance not exceeding ±5%.

• Monitor utility consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives to achieve 5% year-on-year reduction.

• Supervise and appraise all technical team members, ensuring timely performance reviews and competency development.

• Conduct regular safety audits and ensure zero tolerance for OSHA violations.

• Liaise with local authorities (OSHA, Fire Department, ZURA) for compliance inspections and permits.

• Oversee major renovation and repair projects to ensure timely completion within budget.

• Ensure all maintenance requests from departments and guests are responded to within 15 minutes and completed within 24 hours.

• Generate weekly maintenance KPI reports and submit to the General Manager.

• Lead emergency response for technical incidents (fire, power failure, water system breakdown).

• Drive continuous improvement in equipment performance to maintain >95% operational uptime.

Qualification and Requirements


  • 6 years’ experience working in the same field at the hotel or resort engineering management as Maintenance Manager
  • Diploma, bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering is added advantage
  • OSHA safety training certification preferred.
  • Strong supervisory skills.
  • Ability to manage workflow and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and leadership abilities
