To perform skilled maintenance and repair work on electrical systems, refrigeration units, and HVAC equipment to ensure efficient, safe, and reliable operation of facility infrastructure. The role supports daily operations, preventive maintenance programs, and quick resolution of technical issues.
Job Description
Electrical Maintenance
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, control panels, and wiring.
- Inspect circuit breakers, fuses, transformers, and other electrical components to ensure safe operation.
- Perform routine electrical testing and preventive maintenance.
- Respond to electrical-related breakdowns and resolve issues promptly.
Refrigeration & Cooling Systems
- Maintain and repair refrigeration units such as cold rooms, chillers, freezers, and commercial fridges.
- Check refrigerant levels, detect leaks, and ensure proper cooling performance.
- Perform routine servicing, part replacements, and system upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to refrigerant handling.
HVAC Systems
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including AC units, ventilation systems, heat pumps, and ductwork.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to optimize performance and extend equipment life.
- Diagnose and fix problems with motors, fans, compressors, thermostats, and controls.
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements.
General Facility Maintenance
- Assist with plumbing, mechanical, and minor carpentry tasks when required.
- Perform regular inspections of building systems, equipment rooms, and technical areas.
- Support routine and emergency maintenance tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualification and Requirements
- Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Refrigeration, HVAC, or related technical field.
- 2–4 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a hotel, industrial, or commercial facility.
- Certification in refrigeration or HVAC systems is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of basic mechanical and plumbing systems is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC units, and refrigeration equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
- Good understanding of safety procedures and regulatory compliance.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
