Job Summary

Reservation Manager play a critical role Catalonia and Hotels. This position involves overseeing the reservations and revenue management process for a hotel or other lodging facility. Reservation Manager is responsible for ensuring that the hotel is maximizing its revenue potential by managing room rates, inventory, and distribution channels.


Reservation Manager is responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies to maximize hotel revenue, market share, and profitability, oversees all aspects of the reservations process to ensure efficient room allocation, revenue optimization, and excellent guest service. The role involves analyzing market trends, monitoring competitor performance, managing room inventory, optimizing distribution channels, managing reservations systems, maintaining rate integrity, and coordinating with Front Office and Sales, sets up systems, rate codes, and booking procedures to ensure a smooth start-up. During the pre-opening phase, the Revenue and Reservation Manager play a crucial role in system setup, rate structure design, and market positioning.

Job Description

Pre-Opening Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the hotel’s revenue and reservations strategy in alignment with brand positioning.
  • Participate in the setup of PMS, CRS, Channel Manager, and Revenue Management Systems.
  • Define room categories, rate structures, and booking policies.
  • Establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for reservations, revenue reporting, and rate management.
  • Coordinate with IT and Sales teams to ensure connectivity with OTAs, GDS, and direct booking platforms.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise the reservations team.
  • Prepare pre-opening budgets, forecasts, and rate strategies.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to determine pricing and positioning.
  • Create templates for daily, weekly, and monthly revenue and reservation reports.


Daily Operational Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the Reservations Department, ensuring all bookings are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Develop, monitor, and adjust pricing, yield, and inventory strategies to maximize occupancy and revenue.
  • Maintain rate parity across all online and offline distribution channels.
  • Monitor daily pickup, booking pace, and forecast accuracy to identify business trends.
  • Manage and optimize room allocations for groups, corporate accounts, and online channels.
  • Coordinate closely with the Front Office, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure smooth communication and optimal room utilization.
  • Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports (occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, forecast vs. actual).
  • Handle and resolve guest or agent inquiries related to reservations promptly and professionally.
  • Train and motivate reservations staff to deliver high-quality customer service.
  • Monitor system performance and liaise with IT and vendors for technical support or updates.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, brand standards, and data protection regulations.


Qualification and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Revenue Management, Hotel Business Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in hotel reservations and revenue management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Pre-opening experience is a strong advantage.
  • Proficient in Reservation and revenue Management systems.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of GDS and online distribution systems.
