Job Summary

To support maintenance operations by performing basic masonry and painting tasks, assisting skilled technicians, and ensuring the upkeep and appearance of the facility. The role contributes to general repairs, finishes, and structural maintenance of the property.

Job Description

Masonry Support

  • Assist in minor masonry tasks such as plastering, patching walls, tile repairs, and small concrete works.
  • Help repair cracks, broken tiles, and damaged surfaces.
  • Support installation or repair of bricks, blocks, and wall partitions.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for masonry work.


Painting & Finishing

  • Carry out painting tasks including surface preparation, sanding, priming, and painting walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
  • Perform touch-ups, repainting, and finishing to maintain property appearance.
  • Match paint colors and ensure smooth and clean finishes.
  • Maintain painting tools, brushes, rollers, and equipment.


General Maintenance Assistance

  • Support technicians in carpentry, plumbing, or repair tasks when required.
  • Assist in fixing door handles, locks, hinges, and small fittings.
  • Help in setup, movement, and installation of equipment or furniture.
  • Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house for minor repair needs.


Safety & Compliance

  • Follow safety procedures in handling tools, chemicals, ladders, and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions or hazards.
  • Ensure tasks comply with company and building maintenance standards.


Documentation & Reporting

  • Record daily tasks performed and report completed work to supervisors.
  • Report materials needed, damages observed, or areas requiring major repairs.
  • Assist in inventory control for masonry and painting materials

Qualification and Requirements

  • Certificate in Masonry, Painting, or General Maintenance is an added advantage.
  • 2-3 years of experience in building maintenance, painting, or masonry work (preferably in hotels or commercial facilities).
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and carry out manual tasks.
  • Physically fit and able to handle lifting and movement tasks.

  • Basic knowledge of masonry techniques and painting processes.
  • Good understanding of surface preparation, finishing, and repair methods.
  • Ability to use hand tools, rollers, brushes, and basic equipment safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce clean, quality finishes.
