Welding Technician

To perform welding and fabrication work, maintaining, repairing, and constructing metal structures, fixtures, and equipment. The role ensures high-quality workmanship, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety standards.

Welding & Fabrication

• Perform welding tasks including MIG, TIG, and arc welding on metal components.
• Fabricate, repair, and install metal structures, furniture, gates, railings, and other fixtures.
• Cut, shape, and join metal parts according to specifications.
• Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, or sanding before welding.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and technical drawings.

Maintenance & Repairs

• Repair broken metal components, equipment frames, and structural elements.
• Assist in installation or modification of metal fixtures and support structures.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on metal equipment and structures.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests involving metal fabrication.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE (gloves, helmets, goggles) at all times.
• Ensure welding equipment is in safe working condition and maintained properly.
• Identify and report any potential hazards or unsafe conditions.
• Comply with company policies, building codes, and health and safety regulations.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain records of welding tasks, materials used, and maintenance performed.
• Report recurring issues or equipment failures to the supervisor.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of welding materials and tools.

• Welding Experience, Fabrication, or related technical field.
• 2–4 years of experience as a welder in hotels, resorts, industrial, or commercial facilities.
• Knowledge of metal properties, cutting, and joining methods.
• Physically fit and able to work in confined spaces or at heights if required.
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques and metal fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Attention to detail and high-quality workmanship.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot fabrication issues.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Awareness of safety standards and procedures in welding operations.
