Catalonia Hotels & Resorts is a prestigious Spanish hotel chain with an international presence in three continents and more than 80 establishments. With a team of more than 9,000 professionals, the company is distinguished by its commitment to service excellence, innovation and the creation of unique and memorable experiences for its guests.

With remarkable signature Catalonia Hotels and Resorts lands on the African continent with its first establishment in Zanzibar, Tanzania. With this expansion, the first outside Europe and the Caribbean, Catalonia Hotels and Resorts further diversifies its offerings and aims to continue growing in new destinations. Catalonia has acquired, on the paradisiacal northeast coast of Zanzibar, a plot of more than 7 hectares with a private beach that will host the Catalonia Grand Zanzibar All Suites & Spa, a 5-star resort with 272 suites, 6 restaurants, an international buffet, a food court with various food stalls, and 8 bars.

Its portfolio combines urban hotels and resorts in privileged locations. Catalonia is committed to talent, professional growth and strategic vision, consolidating its position as a benchmark brand in the international tourism sector.

This will be the second Catalonia Grand resort after Costa Mujeres in Mexico, establishments that are positioned in the highest market segments and offer unique experiences and extraordinary levels of quality. The project aims to position the resort as a benchmark in the destination, with premium facilities and an extensive, innovative, and carefully crafted gastronomic offering.

CATALONIA GRAND ZANZIBAR ALL SUITES AND SPA

The Catalonia Grand Zanzibar All Suites & Spa is located in the Pwani Mchangani area, a tropical paradise with white sandy beaches and coral reefs, just a few kilometers from the Kichwele Forest Reserve and many other natural sites. The resort will consist of 272 suite rooms (including 2 water villas) and will offer all kinds of facilities and amenities for its guests: a large 800m² swimming pool, a spectacular 1600m² wellness and spa area, a gym, extensive dining options, an amphitheatre, a Kid's Club, a shopping area, and more.

A special feature is the Jetty area, a walkway that extends into the sea where guests can enjoy a restaurant, bar, lounge area, and a pool that fills with the high tide and allows for swimming when the tide is low.

Gastronomy is one of the basic pillars of Catalonia, and the project aims to elevate its offering and become the benchmark of the island by providing its guests with the most diverse and extensive gastronomic selection in the area. The resort will feature 6 restaurants, an international buffet, a food court with various food stalls, and 8 bars. Our service will be unique and very diverse. Among them is an Asian restaurant with Teppanyaki, a restaurant with African-Mediterranean fusion cuisine, and Bloved, one of the chain's most well-known gastronomic venues, which has already been successful in Madrid and the Caribbean.
